E-Malt.com News article: US, CO: Odell Brewing to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with new ‘neighbor’ beer
Brewery news

Odell Brewing will celebrate Cinco de Mayo next week with the release of special pilot brew of a dark Mexican-style lager, Coloradoan.com reports.

The beer, called "Vecino," Spanish for neighbor, will be unveiled on May, 3 in the brewery's Tap Room, 800 E. Lincoln Ave. The Cinco de Mayo festivities will include a live mariachi band and local food beginning at 4 p.m. May, 3.

The Cinco de Mayo celebration, two days before the actual holiday, is being conducted in partnership with the nearby Museo de las Tres Colonias.

“We wanted to celebrate with our neighbors who reside in the Tres Colonias neighborhoods and also honor the Hispanic heritage of Fort Collins,” said Corkie Odell, brewery co-founder, “so our brewery friend and neighborhood advocate Betty Aragon agreed to help us out.”
