Brewery news

Charles Bierbrier, founder of Montreal’s Bierbrier Brewing, has announced that his company has entered into a strategic alliance with La Compagnie de Bière Brisset, owner of the MTL Premium Lager brand, Canadian Beer News reported on November, 1.

Under the terms of the agreement, Brisset has purchased the Bierbrier brewing facility, where it will now be producing MTL Premium Lager (which was previously contract brewed by Brasseur De Montréal), as well as the Bierbrier brands – Bierbrier Premium Ale, Bierbrier Pilsner Lager and Joe Beef Special Pils – under a new production and distribution agreement.

Charles Bierbrier will continue to be involved with the day-to-day operations at the brewery, and will represent the Bierbrier brands in conjunction with Brisset.
