Unofficial national brewer withdraws indicate an increase of 1.1% in October 2011 to 13.05 mln barrels, Beer Institute reports.

Year to date shipments (January – October) totaled 151.059 mln barrels which is 1.8% less compared to same month last year.

Domestic taxable withdraws (also know as Tax Paid Removals) measure the amount of beer shipped from domestic brewers to distributors within the U.S. market.

Total imports of malt beverages from all countries for the month of October 2011 decreased -5.2% to 2,146,538 compared to same month last year.

Total commercial exports of malt beverages to all countries for the month of October were 305,745 barrels, an increase of 19.3% from the same month last year. This figure does not include shipments to military posts overseas or shipments to Puerto Rico and other US territories.
