Brewery news

Avery Brewing, a Colorado-based family owned and operated microbrewery, is to launch Oud Floris as next release in the series of experimental barrel-aged beers, Drinks Business Review reported on June, 8.

Oud Floris is a sour brown color blend that is aged in 13 wine and liquor barrels for one to three years. The ale possesses sweet and sour character with notes of fruitiness.

Avery's new extension will be available for sales from 24 June 2012 at its tap room in Boulder, Colorado. The bottles are 12oz in size and will be available at a price of $8 each.

The brewery is also planning to build a new facility worth $27 mln in Colorado. The 72,000ft² new building will house modern brewing systems, an aerial brewery tour walkway, full service tap room and retail store.

Established in 1993, Avery's portfolio of beers include Avery IPA, The Maharaja Imperial IPA, White Rascal Belgian Wheat Ale, Mephistopheles' Stout and eighteen other year-round and seasonal beers.
