Brewery news

Maine Beer Company will be expanding their Northeast distribution footprint, entering New Jersey on October 1, 2012, beerpulse.com reported on September, 25.

The brewery has chosen craft beer wholesaler Hunterdon Distributors to represent their brand throughout the state. The debut will feature the brewery’s original flagship brew, Peeper, in 500ml bottle format.

Founded in 2009 by brothers Dan and David Kleban, Maine Beer Company is best known for their production of small-batch hoppy American-style ales. The brewery focuses on keeping things small, fun, local and fresh. “We try to make great beer and hope that good things will follow,” states co-owner David Kleban.

Maine Beer Company strives to keep their distribution network as local as possible. Aside from New Jersey and their home market of Maine, their products are currently only found in the Northeast markets of Vermont, Massachusetts, New York City, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. Availability in New Jersey will be limited to start, with other styles a possibility for the year ahead.

This is the fourth brewery that Hunterdon will be representing from Maine – a state known for its abundance of local craft breweries and award-winning beers.
