E-Malt.com News article: USA, CA: Lagunitas Brewing brings back Brown Shugga
Brewery news

Lagunitas Brewing installed a new brewhouse earlier in the year and decided to keep its old one, beerpulse.com reported on November, 20.

The new one is now running 24/7 and the company is in the process of beefing up packaging and filtration to a 24/7 schedule as well. The old brewhouse, meanwhile, is only being used for project brews and Imperial Stout. Brewmaster Jeremy Marshall says that there will be a time when both brewhouses will be fully utilized.

Sucks Brown Shugga Substitute Ale returned to shelves this fall after not being brewed at all in 2011. Marshall explains that for every batch of that beer they brewed, they would have shorted markets by three batches of IPA.

Lagunitas Sucks’ popularity has led to the company to drop the word “Holiday” out of the beer name and eventually make it year-round. The first batches of the 2012-2013 winter edition have been brewed and should return soon.
