E-Malt.com News article: USA, MN: Lucid Brewing can now sell directly to consumers
Brewery news

Starting in January, Lucid Brewing fans will be able to take beers home straight from the brewery, bizjournals.com reported on December, 19.

The Minnetonka craft brewer recently got the go-ahead from the city council for an off-premise liquor license, allowing the company to sell 64-ounce growlers or 25-ounce bottles directly to consumers.

Many of the specifics haven’t been ironed out, but the brewery plans to kick off direct-to-consumer sales sometime in early January with two special releases: an imperial red called "Duce" and brown ale named "Craig’s Ale." It will also bottle and sell mainstays such as Air, Dyno and Foto.

Since launching in 2011, Lucid Brewing beers have made their way into more than 250 Minnesota restaurants and hundreds of liquor stores. The craft brewer got a special federal license this summer to join forces with fellow Minnetonka brewery, Badger Hill Brewing Co. That license allowed the companies to share a facility but operate separately.
