E-Malt.com News article: USA, VA: Back Bay Brewing to open brewery in Virginia Beach

Back Bay Brewing Co., nearly a year old, has never made beer in the city that inspired its name. Starting in January, it will, co-founder Joshua Canada was quoted as saying by Hamptonroads.com on November 4.

Pending federal regulatory approval, Back Bay will open a small brewery and tasting room by late January in a building that used to house Wave Riding Vehicles on Norfolk Avenue in Virginia Beach, Canada said.

"We're all from Virginia Beach," he said of the partners in the business. "We want to have our local footprint."

Back Bay first made its beer at the Weeping Radish brewery in Grandy, N.C., and now does at St. George Brewing Co. in Hampton, he said.
