Brewery news

The owners of Tractor Brewing Co. have recently signed a lease in advance of moving their operations to Albuquerque. While Tractor operates a tap room in Nob Hill, it has always brewed its beer in Los Lunas, Albuquerque Business First reported on November 22.

The new headquarters, which will also feature a tap room, is located just north of downtown. The almost 19,000-square-foot building is about a mile from Marble Brewery’s brewery and tap room.

Tractor Brewmaster David Hargis said federal permitting has been completed and state permits are in progress. He said he’s hoping permitting and construction on a buildout will be completed in time to start moving equipment from Los Lunas in January.

The size of the new space is about 13,000 square feet more than Tractor’s Los Lunas location.

Hargis thinks the location is a good one to attract customers not only from Downtown, but the North Valley and the Westside.

Tractor Brewing has been in business since 1999.
