Germany: Beer sales in Germany increased 4,3 % in the first quarter of 2004 versus first quarter of 2003 beer sales. The Germans consumed 22.7 million hl in January-March 2004. The figure does not include non-alcoholic beer, maltdrinks and imported beer form countries outside EU. The sale of beermix rose 12.7 % to 0,5 million hl in the same period.
