Brewery news

It’s been an eventful year-and-a-half since Mitch Biggar first announced his plans to open Railcar Brewing in the small town of Florenceville-Bristol in northwest New Brunswick, Canadian Beer News reported on November, 3.

The brewery lost its originally planned location, and was then threatened with new provincial liquor rules that could have forced it to shut down before it even opened if they hadn’t later been reversed.

Despite the challenges and setbacks, Biggar finally saw his plans come together this past weekend, when Railcar opened its doors to the public for the first time, offering growlers of Brown Ale and SMASH IPA to customers on Saturday and Sunday.

Railcar Brewing will be open daily, although stock levels may vary depend on sales volume and the brewing schedule.
