Denmark: Carlsberg A/S announced on 15 June 2004 that it had appointed Anne-Marie Skov to a newly-created position as Vice President for the company’s internal and external communication activities with effect from August 9 this year. She will be responsible for developing a combined communications function that can support Carlsberg’s international business and branding strategies.

The background for the position is the simplification of the ownership structure that Carlsberg has implemented during the past few months – including the acquisition of Norwegian Orkla’s 40% shareholding in Carlsberg Breweries A/S. This forms the basis for positioning and communicating about Carlsberg as a single company. Anne-Marie Skov comes from a position as Vice President of Communications in Novozymes and has more than 20 years’ experience in communications – mostly with the Novo Group. She joined Novo Industri in 1986 and was Director of Communications in Novo Nordisk from 1992 until November 2000, when Novozymes was spun off as an independent, listed company. Public Affairs Director Margrethe Skov is leaving Carlsberg during the autumn 2004.
