Bulgaria: According to Dimitar Alexiev, chief of Zagorka brewery, Bulgarians are experts at beer and its qualities, drinking as much as their European fanciers in the Czech Republic for example, according to Novininte. Bulgarian market hides enormous potential for producing and consuming beer, specially on the background of lower buying capacity than in other European countries.

According to recent survey data, the Bulgarian is an equal beer drinker to the average European with about 54-57 liters annual consumption. The Bulgarian is not an alcoholic, Dimitar Alexiev pointed out. He favors the pint of beer mostly in a company of friends and with good appetizers.

Bulgarian beer market is rather subject to seasonal fluctuations, with the summer advancing the consumption rising steadily.
