The Timmins Daily Press reports that a local entrepreneur is making plans to open the city’s first brewery.

Full Beard Brewing is being founded by Jonathan St-Pierre, owner of local draught supply and servicing company “Tap It!” Working together with a cousin, St-Pierre hopes to open Full Beard Brewing within the next 18 months, and has plans for a brewery, retail store and tasting room with patio.

The company is preparing to apply for loans and grants to fund the brewery, and is fundraising with t-shirt sales and a crowdfunding campaign to raise C$30,000 in seed money in order to qualify for a grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
