Brewery news

Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that a new brewery is currently in the works in Twillingate, a small town on Twillingate Island just off the northeastern shore of Newfoundland.

Split Rock Brewing is being founded by homebrewers Allison and Matt Vincent, along with business partners Tim and Robin Vatcher.

According to the ACBB report, the group are “fans of brewing (and drinking) English-style beer, and will be launching with a variety of those, including a Bitter, Red Ale (with rye), Brown Ale, Stout, and IPA, as well as a Belgian Witbier and Cream Ale.”

Split Rock is expected to launch in the late spring.
