Ukraine: According to APK-Inform market monitoring service, market participants are noting a drop of bidding prices for feed barley on the part of nearly all of the export companies, AgriMarket.Info posted on September 8.

Many exporters have already collected the amounts of grain they needed. The price drop was also provoked by an increase in barley supplies. Besides, some grain owners have had to take a part of their volumes out from the elevators, to free out the storage capacities for late-ripening crops, which are about to start arriving. Consequently, the sellers had to reduce the asking prices too.

Most of the bids for feed barley are now within the range of 390 to 410 hryvnias per tonne ($73 to 77 per tonne) on EXW basis. However, the exporters continue to buy voluminous lots of the grain at 425 to 430 hryvnias per tonne ($80 to 81 per tonne), on EXW basis.
