UK: At the end of September 2004, Saint-Petersburg “Baltika” Co. will open its pub in Glasgow. This was announced on September 9 by press-service of the brewery company, to “REGNUM” IA.

In 2003 the sales volume of “Baltika” in Great Britain has amounted to 8 790 decalitres or 72% of the total Russian beer import to this country. Currently, in Great Britain, “Baltika #3 Klassicheskoye” is sold in premium class, at ₤ 3.5 per bottle with the volume of 0.5 l. The corporate refrigerators of the “Baltika” Co. were installed in London and Edinburgh pubs from April 2004, according to Russian Beer Union.

Open JSC “Baltica” Brewery Co. is the biggest beer producer in Russia. Sales volume of 2003 amounted to 16.17 hecalitres. Baltic Beverage Holding (Sweden) is the largest company’s shareholder. Baltika Bewery Company sold 88.43 mln. decalitres of beer in the first half of 2004, which exceeds the corresponding indicator of the year 2003 by 11%. The net proceeds of the Open JSC “Baltika” by US GAAP amounted to 65 mln. Dollars in January –June 2004, which exceeds the corresponding indicator of the year 2003 by 2% (64 mln. dollars).
