Brewery news

Fire Maker Brewing Company will join its neighbors in Underwood Hills’ Westside Atlanta Brewery District with a soft opening March 6, 2020, What Now Atlanta reported on February 26.

Round Trip Brewing just broke ground nearby.

Fire Maker will house a 20-barrel brewing system and a 2.5-barrel pilot system for experimental beers.

Its 2,000-square-foot taproom is built to serve 30 taps and showcases multiple large-scale murals by artist Jordan Atkinson along with leather seats and bar stools, industrial light fixtures, an epoxy bar top that replicates fire, hand-crafted wood tables, and wood dragon scales that line the entire hand-made bar.

Once the full-length glass garage doors are rolled up, the taproom extends onto a patio and “beer walk,” overlooking Chattahoochee Avenue.

Fire Maker inked distribution deals with Atlanta Beverage Company and Eagle Rock Distributing Company, allowing for the company to go straight to market with its four core beers.

“It’s taken a lot of hard work from so many people to get to this point,” Elliott Hall, owner of Fire Maker, said in a release Tuesday.

“We’ve had so much support along the way from friends, family, and everyone following our journey online. Now, we finally get to share it with all of them, and I can’t wait.”

Later in the month, on March 28, will be an official grand opening with live entertainment from Barefoot Geno and Brewery Road.

Local food trucks Frita Kale-O and Johnnie & Clyde’s will also be present.
