E-Malt.com News article: USA, NJ: Two Villains Brewing and Muckraker Beermaker to open first brewery in Vernon in 30 years
Brewery news

It's been nearly a year since Two Villains Brewing shut their doors in Nyack, New York. According to an Instagram post by the team, however, the spot is about to make a comeback — in New Jersey, northjersey.com reported on June 16.

Oh, and even better? It's a boozy collaboration.

"We’re happy to officially announce that Two Villains Brewing and @muckrakerbeer are joining forces to launch the first brewery in Vernon's resort area in 30 years," the team wrote on June 14. "Our goal is to bring both brands together in a mutual and collaborative space where we can provide a little bit of something for everyone."

Muckraker Beermaker is a microbrewery in Franklin known for crafting "wild and spontaneous" beers from local Jersey fruits. The upcoming Vernon project will produce beer under both the Two Villains and Muckraker brands, highlighting and integrating the specific talents of each.

"We go back nearly a decade with Tom of Muckraker," Two Villains wrote online, "Both as avid beer fans and from our days of side-by-side tables at homebrew competitions, and we’re incredibly excited to get started on the next chapter in the journey of both our brands."

What that "journey" looks like for us beverage-lovers in Jersey? An 8,000 square foot brewhouse, tasting room and party space near Mountain Creek and Crystal Springs Resorts serving favorites from IPAs to stouts and everything in between. The team even hinted at some "spontaneously fermented 'AmLams.'"

"It's gonna be fun," Tom Troncone, owner of Muckraker Beer, said of the project. "My M.O. when it comes to beer-making is to try to be interesting and fun with the beer. But beyond that, we're going to be in a location where we have a whole new group of people coming up every weekend. We're going to be interacting with new faces all the time."

There is no additional information on the brewery yet (including opening date, the name of the endeavor, etc.), but the brand promises more announcements "in the days, weeks and months to come."
