The German brewer, Krombacher Brauerei, which employs 770 people, has registered an output of 4.83 million hl for 2002 year – 3.7% more than for the previous year and a turnover of EUR 460.5 million ($490.4 million), up 8.1% from 2001, the company said. However, draft beer production fell by 2.3% to 821,000 hls, the company added.

Krombacher is planning major advertising campaigns for Cab, a pre-mix of Cola and beer, and Krombacher Radler brand, with a total marketing budget for 2003 set at EUR 50 million. The company also plans to invest EUR 30 million on upgrading production facilities.
