InBev S.A. announces on August 16, the closing of the acquisition of the Tinkoff brewery in St. Petersburg, Russia. InBev paid an enterprise value of EUR 167 million for a 100% stake in Tinkoff. It will immediately add 2.3 million hectoliters of capacity (expandable to 4.8 million hectoliters) to InBev's current Russian platform.

InBev is a publicly traded company based in Leuven, Belgium. The company's origins date back to 1366, and today it is the leading global brewer by volume. InBev's strategy is to strengthen its local platforms by building significant positions in the world's major beer markets through organic growth, world-class efficiency, targeted acquisitions, and by putting consumers first.
