E-Malt.com News article: Belgium: InBev selects software solutions provider to improve its global supply chain efficiency
Brewery news

InBev, the world's biggest brewer by volume, selected the Infor Advanced Scheduling solution to improve its production scheduling, Infor Solutions announced on September 27. According to the announcement Infor Global Solutions, a provider of enterprise software solutions to select manufacturing and distribution vertical markets was licensed by InBev to improve its global supply chain efficiency.

The synchronisation of the flows from brewing to packaging has become increasingly difficult for the brewer giant, and the company will use the Infor solution to manage the increased complexity and finite capacity constraints at various stages of the production.

The InBev supply chain has grown considerably in the last years, thanks to an expanding business. The brewer needed a solution able to serve the unique process and functional requirements of the beverage industry, including tank scheduling capabilities, finite capacity constraints, limited shelf life, and large production volumes.

The Infor Supply Chain Management Group will hold an Asia Pacific User Meeting at Dockside Darling Harbour in Sydney, from November 15 to November 16, 2005. Attendees at this year’s meeting will have the opportunity to learn more about a broad range of supply chain solutions and their current and future capabilities, as well as get an insight into how to apply the system and achieve the most from the solution.
